Easter, Family and African dishes

It is Easter: one of the moments of coming together with Family and friends. For Africans, there is always room for food. We Africans are known for making a lot of different dishes. We don’t stick to the rule of course dishes; we have it all at once. Our food is tasteful, spicy, rich and delicious. Might not be presented in the most organised way, as we know French food, but it fills your appetite and your stomach.

For those who are quite unfamiliar with African food. Most African meals are centred on a soup or stew and we love rice. What are most popular are grilled meats, smoked fish and chicken. It is overall rich.

“I love the baked plantain with red beans. Preparing beans and the stew takes time, but it’s also delicious with Heinz breakfast beans. I eat Heinz’ beans when I don’t feel like cooking. My kids also love it”
